A Small Dedication

I’ve been making postcards for each Nowruz since 2013 and this has become a ritual and a way of showing affection towards people around me. This year, I have gathered a collection of postcards from 1970 to 1995, all from “The Aftab Archive” Sent from Spain, Germany, USA, Eastern Europe, etc., these cards carry personal messages, visual trends of their time and fragments of a culture long forgotten in our digital world. This wonderful Archive, thoughtfully organized to be read and appreciated by postcard lovers, is currently being displayed at an open studio event at the artist’s studio, the same address to which the postcards were originally sent.
